Well we decided to take a road trip and drive to Utah to visit my family. The drive was about 13 hours there and 12.5 hours back. The girl were fantastic in the car. I can't believe how well they did for how long they had to sit and keep themselves entertained.
Alivia had a blast with her new block set from IKEA! She also loved Pepper but we are still not getting a dog any time soon. Emma didn't love him at all.
Uncle Dallen taught Emma many new things. He taught he how to play basketball and how to play the piano. She is a pro!
While we were there we celebrated all of the birthdays that had just passed and those that were coming up. We celebrated uncle Dallen's, Emma's birthday, Grandma Shauna's birthday, uncle Chris's Birthday, and Alivia's. It was a lot of fun. Emma even learned to blow out candles.
While we were there Emma had tons of fun and learned how to play the slot machines at Grandpa's house. How fitting since mommy and daddy love to go to the casino and Las Vegas!

She loved playing with all of her friends and family! Emma had a Minnie Mouse party and she dressed up in a pink princess tutu! We all had a lot fun!

Potty Training
Well Emma has decided that she wants to be a big girl! This morning she decided to take her jammies and diaper off and use the big girl potty. She has gone all day so far with no accidents. We put a diaper on her for nap and when we went out to lunch and other than that she has done PERFECT! I am so proud of her. Here are a few pics of her first pair of big girl under pants that she is so proud of! She also got a treat and a sticker!

A long over due update!
Well Christmas has come and gone. The girls had a wonderful Christmas. Alivia is still too young to really have any idea what went on, but Emma had a blast. She was obsessed and still is with Santa Clause and loved opening her presents. Of course Emma loves all of Alivia's toys more than her own. Is that not how it always works?
Now for the update. Alivia is almost 9 months. She is crawling all over the place. She pulls herself up to stand on absolutely everything! She has even learned to open cupboards and drawers. Her new thing is to team up with her big sister and pull all of the movies out of the entertainment center. She also just got her first tooth. Hopefully I will be able to post a picture soon. She doesn't really let you get close to it right now.
Emma will be two in February and I can't believe how fast the time is going. She is two going on 12. She has a little attitude and is starting to become a little jealous of her sister. Emma is so smart that is it a little scary at times. Her new favorite book is Goodnight Moon. She loves Mickey Mouse and will be having a Mickey and Minnie themed birthday party with all of her friends from our playdate group. Next week Brian and I are going to transform her crib into a toddler bed (daybed). We are a little excited and nervous about how well it will go over with Emma.
I started back to school this week at Creighton University in the Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. I am sure that it is going to be a struggle but I think that Brian and I make a pretty good team and we can tackle this head on! At least I hope so because I am a little nervous. Here are a few pictures from the past month. Brian and I went out for New Years Eve and had a lot of fun. It was the first time in two years that I was not pregnant so I was able to have a little more fun this year. I hope this gave you a little update into our lives these days.
